The new batch (2025-26) of the Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) programme started on July 2, 2025 at ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (ICAR-CRIDA). This programme is a mandatory part of the B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture curriculum, designed to give seventh-semester students practical exposure to rural life and farming practices.

The inaugural session, chaired by Dr. V.K. Singh, Director of ICAR-CRIDA, and he highlighted the importance of hands-on learning and direct interaction with farmers during RAWE programme.

Certificates were distributed to the students of earlier batch for successful completion of the programme.Through RAWEP, students will understand rural challenges, study the adoption of agricultural technologies, and develop essential skills for rural development.

This initiative particularly supports the shaping of future agricultural professionals to contribute effectively to Indian agriculture, especially in dryland regions.
