Plantation Drive at ICAR-CRIDA as part of Swachhta Pakhwada
ICAR-CRIDA commences the Swachhta Pakhwada on 16th December 2025 and it will continue upto 31 December 2025. As part of the Swachhta Pakhwada staff of ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA), Hyderabad actively participated in a sapling plantation drive held on 19 December 2025 within the CRIDA campus premises. The event was organized under the nationwide initiative “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, encouraging individuals to plant and nurture trees in honor of their mothers.
The initiative aimed at enhancing green cover, improving the campus ecosystem, and creating awareness on the importance of tree plantation for climate resilience, biodiversity conservation and environmental protection.
During the campaign, staff members collectively planted a variety of saplings, reinforcing CRIDA’s commitment to environmental protection and sustainability. The programme highlighted the importance of tree plantation for ecological balance and served as a reminder of our responsibility toward a greener and cleaner future
The plantation drive also served as a reminder of the role of research institutions in leading by example in adopting eco-friendly practices and supporting national missions on environmental conservation.
