ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (CRIDA) Ranga Reddy celebrated World Soil Day and discussed the theme “Healthy Soils for Healthy Cities” to raise awareness about soil health and sustainable farming practices on 5th December 2025

On this occasion, Dr. Chandrakant M. H., Head and Senior Scientist, explained about the importance of observing soil day. The program featured speeches on soil fertility, the segregation of kitchen waste in urban areas, composting, and nutrient management, emphasizing the critical role of maintaining soil fertility to enhance crop productivity.

Farm workers and visitors engaged actively in an interactive session, acquiring practical insights into improving soil quality and implementing eco-friendly agricultural methods. Approximately 70 farm, field workers, and visitors took part in the program
