Dr Himanshu Pathak, Hon’ble Secretary, DARE & DG, ICAR, inaugurated the Academic Block of the IARI Mega University, Hyderabad hub at ICAR- CRIDA on 22nd February, 2024 in the gracious presence of Dr. S.K. Chaudhari, DDG(NRM), ICAR. The dignitaries present are Dr. Jacqueline d’Arros Hughes, ICRISAT, Directors of hub partner Institutes, Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, NAARM, Dr. R.M. Sundaram, Director, IIRR, Dr.(Mrs.) C. Tara Satyavati, Director, IIMR, Dr. S.B. Barbuddhe, Director, NMRI, Dr. Amrish Tyagi, ADG(Animal Sciences), ICAR and present and former Directors of CRIDA. Dr. G. Ravindra Chary, Academic Coordinator (PG), Dr. K. Nagasree, Academic Coordinator (UG), Discipline Coordinators and Nodal officers of IARI MU Hyderabad hub, and scientists from ICAR institutes at Hyderabad participated. DG, ICAR also visited the teaching facilities at CRIDA and appreciated the efforts made at Hyderabad Hub. DG, ICAR, also interacted with the UG, PG and Ph. D students and guided them. DG, ICRISAT suggested the students for an exposure visit to ICRISAT. On the occasion, the instruction material for the UG course on Fundamentals of Agronomy (UAGRON101) is released.
