ICAR-CRIDA celebrated its 40th Foundation Day with zeal and enthusiasm on 12 April, 2024. The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest of the function, Dr SK Chaudhari, Deputy Director General (NRM), ICAR. The guest of honour present for the function were Dr Rajbir Singh, ADG (AAFCC), ICAR (virtual mode), Dr Lakshmi Eswari, Centre Head, C-DAC, Hyderabad, Dr YS Rama Krishna, Former Director, ICAR-CRIDA, Dr Prakash Chauhan, Director, NRSC, Hyderabad and Dr Ch Srinivasa Rao, Director, NAARM, Hyderabad.

Dr. V. K Singh, Director, CRIDA in his welcome address spoke about the contribution made in dryland research including the project achievements, publications, copyrights, awards, etc. including upcoming challenges and opportunities

Dr SK Chaudhari, Deputy Director General (NRM), ICAR praised the efforts of the institute and also motivated the staff to work hard for better prospects.

A speed breeding facility and digital library were also inaugurated during the event.

On this occasion, four publications were released. Various awards to recognise the contribution made by the staff of CRIDA were presented during the ceremony. The staff in administrative & accounts, technical and supporting categories were recognized for their significant contributions to the organization and felicitated. Prizes were also given to the winners of various sports events organised during the event. A cultural programme to mark the event was also organised
