  • Received ‘Dr. K. Chandrakandan’s Family and Professional Colleagues Award-2006’ for the BEST PAPER PRESENTATION on “Constraints in Adopting Agricultural Weather Forecasts by Farmers in Ananthapur and Rangareddy Districts of Andhra Pradesh” from the International Extension Forum, Coimbatore (TNAU) during the National Seminar on Emerging Issues and Development Strategies for Dryland Agriculture and Wasteland Management held at CRIDA, Hyderabad from March 6-8, 2006.

Contributions in Extension

  • Extension activities organized (Meetings, Demonstrations, Field days, Training Programmes/Exhibition etc.)
  • Associated with Programme Coordinator, KVK, Rangareddy district, Telangana state from 2013 to 2016 in discharging various KVK activities like conducting demonstrations, on-farm Trials, trainings to farmers, Scientific Advisory Committee Meetings etc.
  • Agro-advisory services through mobile contacts and SMS (252 number) have been posted to farmers in Ranga Reddy district, Telangana by KVK-CRIDA in association with ATMA –IFFCO platform to around 1000 farmers.
  • Participated actively as member/chairman for several committees constituted by Director, CRIDA for conducting Farmers’ Day, Field Day etc.
  • Village Climate Risk Management Committee (VCRMC) was formed at Gadda Mallaiguda (KVK-CRIDA adopted village), Yacharam mandal, Ranga Reddy district, Telangana on 30th August, 2014. The committee consists of 6 members from the village and a resolution to this effect was passed in the presence of sarpanch and ZPTC of the village. The main functions of the committee are to facilitate custom hiring of agricultural machinery, climate literacy and NRM activities in the village. Head, KVK-CRIDA and I coordinated the event.
