ICAR-CRIDA, Hyderabad, and Mahyco Private Limited, Jalna, Maharashtra, signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) on 23rd April 2026 at ICAR-CRIDA, Hyderabad.

Shri Babul Kumar Sinha, Chief Administrative Officer (SG) on behalf of ICAR-CRIDA and Dr Vilas Parkhi, Lead-Technology, on behalf of Mahyco Private Limited, signed the MoA for carrying out a contract research project entitled ‘Enhancing wheat and rice yield prediction in smallholder landscapes using multimodel ensemble approaches’, in the presence of Dr Vinod Kumar Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA.

As per the MoA, ICAR-CRIDA will provide the in-season yield forecast for rice and wheat seed production and demo plots of Mahyco, using crop simulation modelling. Dr Smitha Kurup, Group Leader, Phenomics & Data Science, Mahyco Private Limited and senior officials of ICAR-CRIDA were present during the occasion.
