ICAR-CRIDA organized an awareness campaign on soil health management and balanced fertilization on June 4th, 2026, at Medipally village in Yacharam mandal of Rangareddy district, Telangana, under Save the Field Campaign 2026 (खेत_बचाओ_अभियान ) programme

Around 60 farmers from Medipally village actively participated in the event. Dr. B. Narsimlu, Principal Scientist (Soil & water conservation engineering), welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of balance fertilization, the role of farm ponds and other soil and water conservation measures in sustaining rainfed farming.

Dr. G. Ravindra Chary, Principal Scientist (Agronomy), highlighted enhancing soil health and crop yield through balanced fertilization and integrated crop management. He also highlighted the advantages of technologies for conserving energy in agriculture and livestock management.

Dr. B. Bhargavi, Scientist (Agronomy) highlighted the importance of balanced fertilization and organic manures and also demonstrated the seed treatment of biofertilizers.
