A Kisan Goshti (Farmer Interaction Meeting) was successfully organized on 12 January 2026 at Gingurthy Village, Tandur Mandal, Vikarabad District under the Model Pulse Village (MPV) Project by Krishi Vigyan Kendra Ranga Reddy, ICAR–CRIDA, Hyderabad.
The programme was graced by Shri Kumraiah, Assistant Director of Agriculture, Tandur; Mr. Charan, Sarpanch, Gingurthy Village; and Ms. Aashma, Assistant Extension Officer (AEO), Gingurthy, as the Guests of Honour. The dignitaries interacted with the farmers and emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among farmers, extension personnel, and research institutions for achieving sustainable agricultural development.
Addressing the gathering, the speakers highlighted the importance of pulse crops, scientific nutrient management, and the adoption of climate-resilient technologies to improve soil health and enhance farmers’ income in dryland regions. Farmers were also briefed on ongoing government schemes, availability of quality seed, and extension support services available in Vikarabad district
The Model Pulse Village (MPV) Project was coordinated by Dr. Gautam Veer Chauhan, Nodal Officer, MPV Project & Agronomy Expert, and Dr. Dilip S., Subject Matter Specialist (Agricultural Extension). The coordinators facilitated interactive discussions and encouraged farmers to share their field-level problems and experiences.
The Kisan Goshti witnessed active participation of 113 farmers from Gingurthy village.
