Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada started at ICAR-CRIDA


Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada started at ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA) to commemorate of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Bhagvan Birsa Munda on 1-11-2025.

ICAR-CRIDA, is implementing Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada from 01-15 November, 2025.

As per the action plan, the Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada activities started by organizing awareness campaign on Rabi crops. The campaign was organized at Malkapur Village, Gudihathnoor Mandal, Adilabad District, Telangana.

A total of 05 women and 11 men tribal farmers have participated in the tribal awareness program. The farmers were educated about the Rabi field crops and its package of practices. A feedback of farmers were also obtained during the awareness program.

As per action plan On 2-11-2025, ICAR-CRIDA distributed Bengal gram seeds in the villages of Malkapur, Gudihathnoor Mandal and Chincholi, Patwariguda and Godurguda in Ichoda Mandal of Adilabad District, Telangana. A total of 10 q seeds were distributed for demonstration in one acre each to 40 farmers including 5 women farmers. The farmers were educated about the good management practices for cultivating Bengal gram seeds in the village.
