ICAR-CRIDA organized Swachhta Hi Seva-2025 from 17 th September 2025 to 2 nd October 2025 . During these dates date wise activities suggested under the programme are being carried out at different campuses/units of the Institute and also in villages, involving farmers and civil society.
Swachhta activities taken up as part of the Swachhata hi seva includes, Swachhta Pledge and planting of trees, Cleanliness drive in Offices and weeding out and disposal of old records, sanitation drive and segregation of biodegradable and non-biodegradable wastes and appropriate disposal, sanitation drive in villages involving school children and village residents, Utilization of organic wastes for generation of compost, cleaning of drainage channels and water ways and clearing water stagnation, Rangoli and essay writing competitions on the theme of swachhta, creation of awarenesss on swachhta in villages and campaign on water harvesting and recycling. Also Health Check-up and Eye camp was organized and given valuable guidance on maintaining hygiene and overall well-being.
on 3 rd October 2025, the valedictory function was held for highlighting the activities of Swachhta Hi seva organized at ICAR-CRIDA from 17 September to 02 October 2025. Dr.R.Nagarjuna Kumar, Principal Scientist and Nodal Officer of Swachhat Hi Seva of ICAR- CRIDA made an elaborate presentation of the different activities carried during the last 15 days. The staff of ICAR-CRIDA and students of Mega University, Hub ICAR-CRIDA participated in the programme
Dr.Vinod Kumar Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA in his address stressed the need for maintaining cleanliness in our daily life and also asked the participants to stop using single plastic and make sincere efforts to reuse, recycle the materials. He also advised every body should have Swabhav Swachhta – Sanskar Swachhta
Later Dr Vinod Kumar Singh, Director distributed the prizes to the winners of Rangoli and Essay competition and that was conducted during the Swachhta Hi Seva. The programme ended with vote of thanks by Dr. Suvana Sukumaran,Scientist, ICAR-CRIDA.
