Team of scientists from ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA) had an interaction meeting on 12.02.2026 with officials of KVK Mayurbhanj-II, Raruan block agriculture department, Government of Odisha under Odisha Agriculture Drought Mitigation Programme (OADMP) funded by National Disaster Management Fund (NDMF), New Delhi through Department of Agriculture and Farmer’s Empowerment (DAFE), Govt. of Odisha (Nodal Funding Agency).
The programme aims to build climate resilience, enhance productivity and promote crop diversification in Raruan block of Mayurbhanj district, targeting smallholder, marginal, tribal, women and youth farmers. The programme focuses on science-led planning, convergence, and community ownership, which will benefit households, strengthening their livelihoods and reducing migration.
Dr G Venkatesh , Principal Scientist (Agroforestry) and Principal Investigator (OADMP), Co-Principal Investigator's (OADMP) Dr P K Pankaj, Principal Scientist (Livestock Production & Management), Dr Sumanta Kundu, Senior Scientist, (Agronomy), Dr AK Indoria, Senior Scientist, (Soil Science) from ICAR-CRIDA, Hyderabad, Dr DK Mohanty, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK Mayurbhanj-II, Shri Satyabrata Sardar Singh (BAO), Shri Jyotilal Hembram (SCO), Smt Subhasri Mohapatra (AHO), Shri Gurucharan Mohanta (BTM) of Ruruan block along with their staffs attended the interaction meeting.
