A Training Programme on Scientific Cultivation Practices for Redgram Farmers and Input Distribution was organized by the Department of Agriculture, Ranga Reddy District, at Rythu Vedika, Shabad, on 29 August 2026 under the Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses.
The programme was attended by Hon’ble MLA Shri Kale Yadaiah as the Chief Guest. The programme focused on creating awareness among farmers about the adoption of scientific and improved cultivation practices in redgram for enhancing productivity and profitability.
During the training, Dr. Dilip S (SMS Extension) ICAR-CRIDA KVK Ranga Reddy attended as resource person and explained on selection of suitable varieties, quality seed, seed treatment, optimum sowing time, recommended spacing, balanced fertilizer application, integrated pest and disease management, moisture conservation and other recommended crop management practices.
As part of the programme, agricultural inputs were distributed to farmers to facilitate the adoption of recommended practices under the Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses. The Hon’ble MLA encouraged farmers to adopt scientific technologies and make effective use of the support provided by the Department of Agriculture.
