ICAR Sponsored HRM Training on " Big Data Analysis for Weather based Crop Management " for technical staff of ICAR institutes has been inaugurated on 29-1-2024 at ICAR- CRIDA, Hyderabad which is being conducted for 10 day s from 29th January to 7th February 2024 . The main aim of this training program to nurture technical staff under HRM category on Big Data analysis. Sixteen Participants from 7 ICAR Institutes were attended. The scientists of CRIDA also attended the inaugural program.Dr G. Venkateshwarlu Joint Director NAARM, Hyderabad was the Chief Guest for the inaugural session. .

Dr G. Venkateshwarlu emphasized the importance of big data analysis in crop management. He suggested the participants to utilize the training in learning data handling, anlysis and developing the data formats in collection of data in usage of drones, and suggested the participates to use the learned technologies in their respective domains.Dr.V.K.Singh director CRIDA highlighted the importance of digital technologies in agriculture. He particularly stressed the participants to learn usage of big data and analysis techniques generated data from the digital tools like, drones, IOT in agriculture. .

During the Inaugural session released compendium of lectures books titled “ Big Data Analysis for weather based crop management” was released Dr.N.Ravi Kumar , Principal Scientist and Course Director briefed the objectives of the short course.During the ten days of short course, the participants will be familiarized with topics like the theory and practical’s of big data analysis and visualization, digital tools for weather based crop management, building spatial and IOT applications for data collection and other related topics. .
