KVK Team along with the seed certification officer from Telangana State Seed & Organic Certification Authority (TSSOCA), Government of Telangana, inspected the field of farmer Shri. T. Francis Reddy and monitored the Redgram (TDRG-59) crop at Mariyapuram Village, Shabad Mandal, Ranga Reddy district, Telangana on 9 th November 2023.The objective in conducting field inspection is to verify the factors which can cause irreversible damage to the seed health during seed production of Redgram seed under Seed Hub programme of CRIDA-KVK. .

Shri. P. Ramakrishna, Technical Officer; briefly explained to the farmer about the management practices of Redgram crop, Economic Threshold Levels (ETL) based management of pod borer complex of Redgram during the critical stages viz., Flowering, pod formation and seed setting stages. He highlighted the varietal characters of TDRG-59 and its market demand. After collecting Geographic coordinates of the Field, the seed certification officer, Dr. V. Prudhvi Raj, Asst. Director of Seed Certification (ADSC), TSSOCA, Hyderabad, queried the field operations undertaken by the farmer. He advised the farmer about necessary precautionary measures to be taken to maintain the genetic purity of the crop.

Dr. D. Sudheer, SMS & ACTO informed the farmer about the MSP of crops, need for pulses yield output in the market, advantages of sustainable backyard poultry rearing and income enhancement besides pulse crop production.
