ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (ICAR-CRIDA) in collaboration with Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) organized three-day training cum awareness program on Nano-urea for the farmers from 20-22 September, 2023 at ICAR-CRIDA, Santoshnagar, Hyderabad. On 21st September, 2023, inauguration of the training programme was held and Dr. V.K Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA was the chief guest. During the Inauguration, Dr. V.K Singh addressed the co-operators and farmers and spoke about the importance of nano-urea in agricultural practices. He advised the farmers to adopt the latest technology by following the recommended package of practices. Mr. Krupashankar MR, State Marketing Manager, IFFCO explained about the innovative products developed by IFFCO in recent years. On the first day of training programme, Dr. V Girija Veni Senior Scientist (Soil Science) gave lecture on integrated nutrient management followed by Dr. Vijaya Kumar, SMS, KVK briefed about mechanization in cotton cultivation. Later farmers were taken to field visits. On second day Dr. K A Gopinath, Principal Scientist (Agronomy) delivered a lecture on CRIDA research highlight on IFFCO nano urea and nano DAP.
 

The training programme was coordinated by Dr. K. Ravi Shankar, Principal Scientist (Agril. Extension) & SIC (TOT) and Dr. C.N. Anshida Beevi, Scientist (Agril. Extension) from CRIDA side.
