An animal health camp was organized at Gadda Malai Guda, RR District on 6th October, 2023 under CRIDA Model Village project where 152 livestock farmers with their livestock participated. All the identified animals were dewormed and animal-specific guidance for better management was provided. In this animal health camp, Dr. Vinod Kumar Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA has instructed all the scientists to achieve the concept of one health. Veterinary Scientists like Dr. D.B.V. Ramana, Dr. Prabhat Kumar Pankaj and Dr. D. Sudheer from ICAR-CRIDA have participated and prescribed suitable treatment for the ailing animals. Dr. Rekha D. and Dr. Sekhar, Veterinary Officers alongwith their department team were also present on the occasion for the consultancies to the farmers. A total of 255 cases were dealt in the camp where 127 belong to general treatment, 34 to reproductive, 3 surgical, and 47 nutritional deficiencies. Two pharmaceutical companies, viz., Micro Labs Limited and Virbac Animal Health India Pvt Ltd. also supported the animal health camp by providing their products to farmers. The health camp was followed by Farmer-Scientist interaction co-ordinated by Dr. Jagriti Rohit and Dr. Anshida Beevi CN. The meeting was chaired by Dr. V.K. Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA and almost 100 farmers were present including sarpanch of the village, Mr. Janghaiah. The overall coordination of the program was under the guidance of Dr. K. Ravi Shankar, SIC, TOT and PI of the project. A detailed action plan for Rabi was discussed and achievements of Kharif crop was shown to the participants.
